After reading it, I really doubt whether McCain has the capability to see the bigger picture. He speaks so vocally and champions for the elimination of earmarks which would have negligible impact even if there is 100% sucess. He also conveniently ignores Governer Palin's record on earmarks!
The other interesting McCain lie in the first presential debate is that offshore drilling is a bridge until we reach energy independence. This is another example of McCain's limited ability to understand that this would be a drop in the bucket with no impact on oil prices.
